The most exciting projects to be completed in 2022

This article shows the most impressive and anticipated mega yachts in the industry to be completed in 2022.

Oceanco Y721
127m Oceanco Y721 is a sailing yacht currently being built by Oceanco in the Netherlands and it is rumoured to be Jeff Bezos's superyacht, which came out of the shed for the first time.

The sailing yacht was first shown earlier this month at the Oceanco shipyard in Zwindrecht. The black-hulled sailing superyacht will have three masts and a bowsprit. It is known that the yacht is built from aluminium and steel, though the designers still remain a secret. Oceanco Y721 is the largest yacht ever built at Oceanco.

It is known that the yacht will have “three enormous masts” and “several decks”. It has also been reported that an accompanying support boat is also under construction, though the details of this remain unknown.

Project Cosmos will be ready for delivery in April 2022. At 80 metres, 1,700 Gross Tons and with a top speed of 29 knots, Project Cosmos will be the world’s largest and fastest full-aluminium motor yacht with conventional propeller propulsion system.

The yacht has been designed by Winch Design with streamlined contours and innovative features, but the distinctive Heesen qualities of muscular sportiness and timeless elegance have been retained.

The yacht’s interesting design features include a fully-rated helipad that transforms into a large outdoor cinema; a crystal lift connecting all decks from lower to the sundeck; an impressive 7-metre pool with a waterfall and glass bottom; a luxury beach club with a bar and side platforms.

Project 1601
90m Project 1601 is being built at Lurssen shipyard in collaboration with Espen Øino and interior designer Dölker + Voges.

Espen Øino has created an impressive exterior design with unusual features, dominated by flat surfaces, straight lines and angular corners. “The crispness of the exterior styling suggests a geometrical precision that permeates every facet of the yacht”, the yard says.

The yacht's interior is designed by Dölker + Voges and follows the same design themes as the exterior. Cornelsen & Partner acted as project manager throughout the construction process.

CRN 138
The 62-meter superyacht CRN 138 was ordered by the owner in January 2018 and designed by Omega Architects. The yacht's interior will feature "exquisite décor in warm, natural hues," which was designed by Pulina Exclusive Interiors. The yacht will accommodate 14 guests in 7 beautifully appointed staterooms.

The CRN 138 is a real home on the water; a yacht designed for living on board. Spacious lounging areas allow guests to socialize and relax in comfort and have the opportunity to spend some time alone. Her interior combines a homely atmosphere with elegance. The sophisticated design and atmosphere is created through the use of fine woods such as pine and oak, complemented by Sahara Noir marble.
