REFIT & CONVERSION

A refit is a construction project on a floating deadline. The difference between the good ones and the horror stories is almost never the yard’s skill: it is scope agreed before work starts, a budget with honest contingency, and somebody on your side walking the shed every week.

We run refits the way builds are run: specification first, the yard chosen for this project rather than habit, milestones in the contract, and progress reported to you with photographs, not adjectives.

A refit priced in an afternoon gets repriced in the yard. We spend the time on the scope first, so the yard becomes the easy part.

Asked every week,
answered here.

A refit renews what is there: interior, systems, paint. A conversion changes what she is: extended, restyled, repurposed. Both need the same discipline; a conversion needs more of it.
