SVETLANA

AvA Yachts is building Svetlana as a full custom steel explorer for high latitude cruising, with delivery scheduled for 2027, twelve months from contract signing. She is also available for sale as is, where is.

Her hull carries Ice Class B1+ notation, a meaningful step above the reinforcement given to a standard ice-classed yacht. The rating covers safe passage through first-year ice of roughly 0.8 metres, placing her just short of full icebreaker classification and opening polar and sub-Arctic itineraries that most yachts of her size cannot attempt.

Two Scania DI13M diesels of 750 HP each provide her power, on fixed pitch propellers and a direct shaft system, and a 30,000 litre fuel capacity gives a range of approximately 4,500 nautical miles at 9 knots, enough to cross long stretches without planning the route around refuelling. A silent cruising mode keeps engine noise and vibration low while under way.

Accommodation is arranged for 8 guests across four cabins, a master suite and three guest cabins, with two further cabins for crew. A 7.2 metre beam on a 27.2 metre hull yields generous interior volume and high headroom, and rectangular saloon windows open the main deck to the view. Below, portholes keep the seamanlike character the class calls for.

Her systems match the brief: Webasto chilled water air conditioning at 108,000 BTU, a 200 l/h watermaker, SidePower bow and stern thrusters of 57 and 24 hp, two 62 kVA shore power inlets, Mastervolt charging across 24 VDC battery banks, and a Garmin navigation suite with GPSMAP 8015, radar, autopilot and AIS. Safety equipment runs to an FM200 fire system, two Viking liferafts, ACR EPIRB and SART beacons and five dome cameras.

The interior is deliberately restrained. Layout and lighting are drawn around use rather than display, pairing classic detailing with modern elements chosen to stay comfortable over long passages. She is built for owners who judge a yacht by range, reliability and liveability.
