Sardinia is a comfortable yachting area, with clean beaches of golden sand and amazing nature. The island has over 1,800 km of coastline with stunning beaches and clear sea water. The landscape is very varied, so it is worth visiting all corners of the island. Sardinia is also ideal for swimming, boating, windsurfing, hiking and climbing.
On the largest island in the Mediterranean, you will find wide beaches with white sands, picturesque cliffs, cozy coves and bays, orange groves and much more, all of which will make your vacation eventful. The capital of the island, Palermo, is a must-see. There you will discover the majestic Norman Palace, La Martorana Church, the catacombs and many other interesting places. The main attraction of the island is Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe.
The unique region of Tuscany, the historical heart of the Renaissance, lies in the central part of the country. It is a superb destination for all art lovers and romantics alike, thanks to its history and its influence on high culture. The main maritime centers on the Tuscan coast are Livorno, Castiglioncello, Piombino and Follonica.
The Aeolian Islands consist of 7 large and several small islands of volcanic origin, so on some of them you can find thermal springs and fumaroles, and on two of them stand the volcanoes Vulcano and Stromboli. All the islands have unique beaches and rocky coastlines. They are also renowned for their magnificent landscapes, seaside health resorts, and specialized spas with thermal pools.
Calabria is the southernmost region of Italy, where many rocky mountains and overgrown forests give way to picturesque hills with vineyards. Here you can visit cozy hillside villages, majestic ancient Greek temples and Byzantine churches. In the center of the province of Reggio Calabria, monuments from different eras have been preserved: the Aragonese Castle, the Church of Ottimati, the Cathedral and many magnificent palaces of the Art Nouveau era (early 20th century). A yacht vacation is especially good here, as you can see many kilometers of wild coastline alternating with sand dunes, picturesque villages on the coast and lively beaches.

Italy carries a long coast and a short high season. The Amalfi and Sardinian anchorages are the first part of that coast to fill through July and August, so plan a good two months out for those. Arrive in June or September instead and the ports are still open but no longer queuing.
