Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts has made waves at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show with the debut of its striking new 52-metre model, the "S520". The unveiling marks a bold evolution of the shipyard’s popular S501 series, which has already garnered widespread acclaim, including last year’s launch of the 49.9-metre Rilassata.

Positioned as a "reinvention" of the S501, the new "S520" retains the series' trademark sleek profile and dynamic styling, once again penned by celebrated designer Francesco Paszkowski. This time, however, the lines are stretched and sharpened into a larger frame, wrapped in a distinctive gun-metal grey finish that elevates the yacht’s aggressive yet refined presence.

Bigger, Bolder, and Smarter Design

Thanks to the increased length overall (LOA), the "S520" boasts significantly enhanced outdoor living areas. A longer and wider sundeck now houses a spectacular infinity pool, while the upper deck skylounge and extended flybridge offer expansive, multi-use spaces for entertaining and relaxation.

A standout feature of the "S520" is its innovative stern configuration, which seamlessly connects the main deck, aft platform, and a newly imagined split-level beach club. Designed for both sun-soaked lounging and practical water access, this area is bathed in natural light through two side-opening platforms and strategically placed portholes – one of which offers a direct view of the infinity pool.

Function Meets Form

Tankoa’s focus on functionality is apparent in several design updates. The tender crane is now integrated into the bow, keeping the profile clean and operational tasks streamlined. The gangway is cleverly built into the aft platform, and relocated staircases to the port side free up valuable upper deck space, which has been transformed into a dedicated entertainment zone. Meanwhile, the forward upper deck is reserved exclusively for toy storage, ensuring effortless deployment and retrieval of tenders and water toys.

Elevated Interiors and Owner Experience

The "S520"’s interiors are a collaboration between Francesco Paszkowski and longtime partner Margherita Casprini, following their recent success on the 58-metre custom build Diamond Binta. The new yacht offers a brighter, airier ambiance, with larger windows, higher ceilings, and a modern, grey-toned palette that mirrors the exterior’s bold style.

Accommodation is thoughtfully arranged, highlighted by a lavish owner’s suite complete with a private lounge, study, walk-in wardrobe, and vanity area, making it a true personal retreat at sea.

Looking Ahead

"We are so thrilled to showcase our latest "S520" model created in collaboration with some of the best minds in the business," said Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa. "She is the epitome of Tankoa, bigger and better than ever and anticipating the future needs of owners in her winning combination of aesthetics and functionality."

With the launch of the "S520", Tankoa continues to set new benchmarks in the world of semi-custom superyachts—delivering not just a vessel, but an experience that artfully balances beauty, innovation, and practicality.
