Smart Yachts at the Qatar Boat Show 2024

Smart Yachts visited the Qatar Boat Show’s inaugural edition, an event that marks a new chapter for Doha’s yachting scene. Held at Old Doha Port from 6 to 9 November, this event showcases world-class superyachts, boats, and marine innovations while also offering a range of luxury experiences beyond the yachting sphere. The Qatar Boat Show is designed to attract a wide audience, from yacht enthusiasts to first-time buyers, captains, divers, and watersport lovers, providing an inclusive environment for a diverse crowd.

Old Doha Port, the show’s picturesque venue, reflects Qatar’s rich maritime heritage. Transformed from a historic commercial hub into a vibrant tourist destination, this area blends sustainability with modern innovation. With 450 berths capable of accommodating vessels up to 160 meters, the port is well-equipped to host events of international scale, affirming its status as a premier destination for the global yachting community.

The 2024 show offered a range of themed zones, each featuring unique attractions and activities:

Splash Zone: This area brings together top watersport suppliers and manufacturers, offering activities like paddleboarding, jet skiing, and underwater drones.

Hooks and Reels: Here, visitors can find high-end fishing gear from leading brands, with rods, reels, and tackle of the finest quality.

Food and Events: Gourmet food trucks, pop-up haute cuisine, and a gastronomy garden add to the culinary appeal, complemented by live entertainment, fishing competitions, watersport demos, and family-friendly activities.

Shoreline and Oceanic Display: A variety of luxury yachts, speedboats, tenders, and fishing vessels from renowned shipyards are on exhibit, allowing visitors to explore exceptional design and craftsmanship.

Deep Dive Expo: This section is dedicated to diving gear and snorkeling essentials, offering premium wetsuits, masks, and swim gear.
