Kando 85 Construction Update: The Yacht Takes Shape at the Shipyard

We are excited to share the latest photos of the Kando 85 currently under construction at the shipyard in Turkey. Available for sale exclusively with Smart Yachts, this 25.7-meter explorer yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2025. She is being built by AvA Yachts as a full displacement world cruiser, ideal for long voyages and extended stays at sea.

Kando 85’s sturdy design includes a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, ensuring durability and safety. She boasts a 200 GT volume with a thoughtfully planned four-stateroom layout, featuring a forward master suite on the main deck equipped with panoramic windows, a desk, and a private bathroom.

The aft deck includes a spacious swimming platform and built-in seating around a dining table. The main salon combines a lounge and dining area, with an enclosed galley to port. Below deck, accommodations include a full-beam VIP cabin, a double cabin, and a convertible twin cabin, along with crew quarters and a crew mess.

The upper deck offers a wheelhouse with built-in seating, an outdoor bar, tender storage, and a Jacuzzi on the foredeck. The flybridge provides ample seating, a sunbathing area, and a grill for outdoor entertainment.

Powered by twin Volvo Penta engines, Kando 85 reaches a cruising speed of 7-9 knots, a top speed of 11 knots, and an impressive range of 6,700 nautical miles at 8 knots. Her 8-10mm thick underwater steel plating and multiple watertight bulkheads enhance her safety for global adventures.
