Cannes Yachting Festival 2026: Guide to Europe's Leading Boat Show
Each September, before the Mediterranean season starts to wind down, Cannes hosts the event which effectively opens the next chapter of the yachting calendar. Cannes Yachting Festival is the place where shipyards choose to unveil their new models, where brokers meet with clients face to face, and where the direction for the coming year in yachting becomes visible in one single bay.

The 2026 edition will run fr om Tuesday 8th until Sunday 13th September 2026. Hours are varying across the week: from Tuesday to Thursday the show is open 10am to 7pm, on Friday it extends until 10pm, Saturday returns back to 10am–7pm, and on Sunday it closes already at 6pm. Professionals who are planning private viewings or meetings with clients should take these variations into account — the extended Friday evening especially tends to bring a different kind of crowd, compared to the daytime sessions.

The festival is divided between two locations. Vieux Port is hosting the new motor yachts, while Port Canto is dedicated for sailing yachts, together with the brokerage market of pre-owned yachts for sale and for charter. Both venues are connected through a short walk along the Croisette, passing by the Palais des Festivals, which allows the visitors to move easily between motor and sailing sectors of the show during the course of one day.
This year is marking a notable milestone: the festival's 49th edition, running without interruption since 1977, which confirms its position as one of longest-established and most respected events on the industry calendar.

Several launches are expected to draw a particular attention this year:
ISA Viper 130 — a 38.8-metre superyacht that is expected to reach top speed of approximately 33 knots, with cruising speed around 26 knots, made for owners who are prioritising the performance together with comfort and outdoor lifestyle. Sirena 118 — the largest yacht that Sirena has built until today, and the first in the range with waterline length exceeding 24 metres. A tri-deck design, with interiors made by Cor D. Rover and naval architecture from German Frers, is positioning this as one of most standout superyacht debuts of the show. Princess X90 — sitting between the X80 and the flagship X95 Vista, this 27.4-metre model introduces drop-down cockpit balconies, a first for Princess Yachts, together with curved patio doors and a full-beam owner's suite on the main deck. Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the main point of entry, located approximately 30km from Cannes — around 40 minutes by car, or longer during the peak show traffic. The train connection between Nice and Cannes is running frequently and, in general, is the most reliable option during festival week, since it avoids the parking constraints near the port. For clients who are arriving by yacht, or who prefer more direct approach, several operators are running scheduled sea shuttles from Nice straight into the festival during show week.
Inside Cannes itself, the festival venues and surrounding hotels are located within a comfortable walking distance from each other, so a car becomes largely not necessary once you are on-site.

Azimut Seadeck 9 — the new flagship of Azimut's hybrid Seadeck series, at 25.6 metres she is also the largest yacht ever built at the yard's Avigliana facility. Her most talked-about feature is the stern, which transforms into an expansive "Pool Deck" with retractable wings and an integrated pool — exterior lines are by Alberto Mancini, interiors by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez. Sanlorenzo SHE — originally it was conceived as a one-off, 25.5-metre project, but now it has developed into a small series with already four hulls sold. The build is employing bioresins and a low-maintenance synthetic teak across all of the exterior areas, which reflects a growing focus toward sustainable construction, even among the more established yards. Sunreef ULTIMA 88 — Sunreef will present its full catamaran range at the show, with the world premiere of the ULTIMA 88 being the centrepiece of it. The model is positioned like a new flagship, combining a more assertive design language together with expanded interior volume.
Beyond these flagship debuts, a number of other builders — including BALI and YOT in the catamaran segment — are presenting their expanded ranges at Vieux Port, several of them with their own European or world premieres. Clients who have specific interest in a segment or in particular builder, we advise to plan the appointments in advance, since demonstration slots and private viewings are filling quickly during the peak days.
Getting There
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the main point of entry, located approximately 30km from Cannes — around 40 minutes by car, or longer during the peak show traffic. The train connection between Nice and Cannes is running frequently and, in general, is the most reliable option during festival week, since it avoids the parking constraints near the port. For clients who are arriving by yacht, or who prefer more direct approach, several operators are running scheduled sea shuttles from Nice straight into the festival during show week.
Inside Cannes itself, the festival venues and surrounding hotels are located within a comfortable walking distance from each other, so a car becomes largely not necessary once you are on-site.
Cannes in September
Outside of film festival season, Cannes in September is offering a noticeably calmer atmosphere, while still keeping favourable weather. The Croisette, lined by its grand hotels and palm trees, effectively turns into an extension of the show during festival week, hosting brokers, owners and industry professionals throughout the day and also into the evening. Le Suquet, the old town overlooking Vieux Port, remains a good point of reference for client itineraries beyond the show itself.
For anyone who is attending for business, it is advisable to allow more than just one day. Between sea trials, scheduled viewings, and travelling between Vieux Port and Port Canto, the week is passing quickly, and to plan ahead remains the most effective way of making full use of the festival.
