SUNREEF YACHTS: New facility in UAE

Sunreef Yachts Middle East has partnered with RAK Maritime City to develop a new facility in Ras Al Khaimah. The new facility, located on a 65,000 m2 plot of land, will incorporate the latest technology in luxury yacht construction and meet the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency. Sunreef Yachts and RAK Maritime City will work together to develop a facility that will offer a versatile approach to yacht production with a state-of-the-art paint shop, carpentry, upholstery and stainless steel shop equipped with the latest machinery and robotics. The first production halls are currently being completed.

As an important crossroads between East and West, Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE have become the best strategic choice for the company due to its exceptional incentives, industry support and easy access to key markets and transportation infrastructure in Ras Al Khaimah.

Francis Lapp, founder and president of Sunreef Yachts, said: "We couldn’t have hoped for a better location to pursue our journey in shaping a greener future for yachting. We can now further expand in an environment that merges perfect strategic location, skilled workforce and proactive mindset. The new facility will be an important part of Sunreef Yachts' global expansion strategy. Not only will it strengthen the company's presence in the Middle East, but it will also provide a closer link to the Asian and Australian markets. With two production facilities in Poland and a developing facility in Ras Al Khaimah, Sunreef Yachts gains global reach for its line of eco-friendly catamarans. The first yachts to be produced in Ras Al Khaimah will be 55 Open Sunreef Power hybrids as well as motor and sailing yachts from 50 to 70 feet.
