44.3m Maverick: A Groundbreaking Explorer Yacht

Maverick is the first of three Flexplorer 146 yachts by Cantiere delle Marche and the second vessel sold in the Flexplorer series, following the delivery of the Flexplorer 130 Aurelia in 2020. Designed by the renowned Francesco Paszkowski, Maverick was awarded Best Interior Design at the 2024 World Yachts Trophies. Her interior design, created in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, complements a robust displacement hull by Hydro Tec.

This yacht emphasizes functionality, equipped with a custom A-frame crane capable of lifting 4.4 tonnes. The crane is used for launching a 9.5-metre Rivellini tender and an A27 sailing boat. Maverick is built for high-latitude navigation, with a 22mm ice belt above and below the waterline to ensure safe passage through icy waters.

One of Maverick's standout features is her large infinity pool on the aft deck, which can be covered for extra storage during transit. When at anchor, the deck can be transformed into a 135 sqm. beach club by folding down the bulwarks. Other amenities include a gym, sauna, and diving center, as well as space for a rescue boat and jet skis on the upper deck.

Accommodation is spread across 6 guest staterooms, including two owner's cabins — one on the main deck and the other on the upper deck, which also includes an adjoining single cabin. Crew quarters provide space for up to six crew members.


Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines, Maverick can reach a top speed of 14 knots and has a transatlantic range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles. Zero-speed stabilizers enhance comfort during extended voyages.

According to CDM CEO Vasco Buonpensiere, the three Flexplorer 146 yachts under construction highlight the series' flexibility. Despite each yacht being distinct, all share the same focus on safety, comfort, and luxury while enabling exploration of remote destinations.
